This article describes the Presence feature on the BT Cloud Work Portal.

Presence allows customers to view the phone status of their colleagues at a glance. This feature is typically used by the receptionist or secretary to aid in routing incoming calls.

Benefits

  • Your presence status can be reflected on your colleagues’ or receptionist’s desk phones, regardless of the device you are using – mobile, softphone, and deskphone
  • Saves time by eliminating the need to call or message colleagues
  • Transfer directly to voicemail if a coworker is busy or out
  • Enables quick routing to available group/call queue/employee reducing hold time and hang-ups
  • Fewer customers are transferred to employees who cannot take their call
  • With a few easy clicks, enable Presence for admins/colleagues
  • Use phone expansion modules to monitor the presence of a large number of colleagues
